From the classroom to the camera
My journey to photography wasn't exactly a straight road - and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was studying to become a primary school teacher while running my own woodworking company, when life handed me the most beautiful plot twist - my son. The moment I knew he was coming, something shifted. I wanted to be present. To be home. To be the one capturing every giggle, every milestone, every fleeting moment of his early life.
At seven months pregnant I closed the doors of my woodworking company, put down my tools, and picked up a camera instead. I haven't looked back since.
I've been fully committed to photography since 2024, and in 2025 I proudly graduated with my teaching qualification - proof that you really can do it all, just maybe not all at once! Based in the beautiful Gillitts area of KwaZulu-Natal, I now get to do what I love every single day - and my little boy gets to grow up watching his mom build something from the heart.
My style
What to expect when you book with me
I'm not the kind of photographer who'll have you standing stiff against a wall counting to three. My sessions are warm, relaxed, and genuinely fun - because the best photos happen when everyone forgets there's even a camera there.
I specialize in young families and little ones, and there's truly nothing I love more than capturing the beautiful chaos of family life - the cuddles, the laughter, the kids who just won't stand still, and the parents trying to wrangle them. Those are the real moments. Those are the ones worth keeping.
My style is natural and golden - I love shooting outdoors at golden hour, amongst the lush bush and greenery that KZN does so beautifully, or in the comfort of your own home where your family is most themselves.
